Lessons By Telephone

Here's how the phone lessons work:

We set up a mutually convenient time on the telephone. (We can do this by E-Mail or phone).
You call me.
We use the practice chanter for beginning students, and practice chanter and
bagpipes for intermediate and advanced level students.

No speakerphone is necessary. A regular phone is fine.

Lessons in the SKYPE format are now available.
SKYPE lessons make long distance lessons very economical.
(This program is free to download. You can learn more about SKYPE, at:
www.Skype.com )

Our rates for piping lessons are $45/hour, $25/half hour.
If we keep the amount of material within the above guidelines, we can usually cover everything, thoroughly in 30-45minutes.

Pre-recording:

Students may also pre-record material, and send it to Invermark in cassette tape, mini-disc, CD, or videotape format.
To start, one MSR, or one piobaireachd, or one 6/8 march, and a Hornpipe and Jig is about the right length. (As we work, over time, we can increase to, for example, an MSR and a piobaireachd, etc.)

We will have listened to your performance prior to our phone lesson, and will cover each tune in detail, with you, on the telephone. There is a modest additional charge at a rate of $45/hr, to cover the time required to listen to and evaluate this material.

Payment in the form of checks or money orders should be made to:
